Pretty Vicious, Are You Entertained? Review

Pretty Vicious is a four-piece rock band that is confident of their sound and have a vision of their trajectory.  In fact, they could be called pretty tenacious. A Welsh rock band originally from Merthyr, Tydfil. Pretty Vicious is Brad Griffiths, Elliot Jones, Jarvis Morgan and Tom McCarthy. Their career has been a whirlwind.  Only four gigs into their beginnings an A&R groundsman plucked them from obscurity and dropped them into the music biz, while they were still teenagers.  Barely equipped to survive the onslaught of managers and executives squabbling over the direction the prodigiously talented teenagers should take, the industry and the process chewed them up and spat them out. However, the band believed in their music and a demo tape found its way to U.S. based GRAMMY® award winning producer and Big Machine Label Group A&R executive Julian Raymond. Now, Pretty Vicious is closely guarded by Big Machine’s newly created rock label in partnership with iconic fashion designer John Varvatos. The foursome is releasing the track, “Are You Entertained?” off their debut album, releasing in the spring of 2019. Pretty Vicious has driving sound, propelled by a steady bassline, pounding drums, crunchy guitar and Griffiths’ energetic front man persona as a vocalist. The result, an exuberant rocker that brings together rebellion and musicality in a Pretty Vicious cycle of sound. That’s the short of it!
