Firmly grounded in the rock genre, with a solid grungy sound and driving rhythms. Fennr Lane is releasing a new single, “Lion In Disguise,” with a strong chorus, full guitars and Folkestad’s solid vocals, he describes his sound as, “Post-grunge.”

An evolving song form with multiple sections. Solid guitar work and catchy melodies.
Folkestad was the single source in creating, producing, singing and mastering every sound on “Lion In Disguise.” Folkestad describes the inspiration behind the track, “Inspired by the incredible strength and courage shown by a family member after suffering life-changing injuries last year. It's moments like that when you are humbled both by the fragility of life, and the unbelievable willpower within, to live it.” Set to a driving rock feel, the guitar figure is a solid riff that supports Folkestad’s powerful vocals. There are nice counterpoint sections and many moving parts to Fennr Lane’s track and that is what makes it interesting to listen to and discover. Each pass through the form brings new discoveries from this talented multi-instrumentalist and songwriter.
