Paige Warner, People Pleasin’ Review
Paige Warner is a singer and songwriter that began her music career as a busker. With Warner’s debut EP, Revealed, she launched her career from a busker into a pop and r&b artist. Her music is a fusion of genres with her charming voice, relevant lyrics, and memorable melodies. Warner accompanies herself on piano and guitar and strives to create songs to either move your body or heart. Her recent release, “I Don’t Need Boys,” reached over 16,000 streams on Spotify, and her song, “Lions,” has 11,000 streams and counting. As a teen, Warner held the outside world’s pressures close to her chest, striving to become precisely what was expected of her. When that became too much, she tore herself into an anxious mess of a teen. Being the best girlfriend, daughter, friend, musician, sibling, student, and a hard worker was an impossible facade to keep up. She eventually hit a wall, and her only choice was to empty her mind into her torn-up brown journal that held her lifelong fears, confusions, and dreams. These words soon morphed into a song, creating her mellow pop tune, “People Pleasin’.” After finding her version of peace, Paige Warner is now sharing this intimate and relatable song with us. With her new single, “People Pleasin’,” Warner hopes to connect this song with as many ears as hearts as possible.
Bottom Line: “People Pleasin'” was produced by Josh Polasz of the successful Kyngs duo. The song is a relevant, relaxed, indie-pop song, written in entirety by Warner, and created, recorded, and finalized in her home province of Ontario, Canada. Opening with a guitar figure and Warner’s sweet vocals. The song unfolds to be a mellow pop vibe with Warner’s vocals leading the way. Though the sounds are a little rough, Warner’s emotions and singing are the song’s center. The bridge features Warner’s upper register singing, which is sweet and melodious. At the end, the vocal counterpoint is a nice touch, could be a little more balanced in the mix, but still very nice. Warner has a beautiful singing style, and as her song catalog grows, so will her reputation and impact on many listeners. That’s the short of it!Connect with Paige Warner: Website |
