Madison Beer is vocalist and multi-instrumentalist form Jericho, New York. Beer gained recognition with her YouTube videos which displayed her unique ability to not only sing her favorites songs, but to add her own style and character with her powerful voice. Beer released As She Pleases, her debut EP in February of 2018, which has acquired over 400 million combined streams since its release. Her career has continued to skyrocket with this independent artist breaking in a major way. Her spring/summer 2018 headline worldwide tour sold out within minutes of going on sale. While her first ever festival performance at Lollapalooza over the summer was praised by critics, Beer has also enjoyed a late-night debut on The Late Late Show With James Corden; a feature in Billboard’s coveted “21 Under 21” list of top musicians in 2018; a guest appearance on David Guetta’s 7 album; performed alongside Liam Gallagher at Milan fashion Week A/W 2018; graced the covers of numerous magazines worldwide (including, most recently, Flaunt magazine); launched her own clothing collection (with leading online womenswear retailer missguided); and was enlisted as the face of a Bulgari fragrance campaign. Beer is now releasing her single “Hurts Like Hell.” Working alongside director Mike Harris, Beer executively produced and co-wrote the creative for the video which was shot in Simi Valley. “Hurts Like Hell” comes hot on the heels of the success of Madison’s previous single “Home With You,” which made music history when it peaked within the Top 20 of US Top 40 radio chart, making Beer the first independent female solo artist to ever do so.
Beer describes the single and corresponding video, “I had such a clear vision of what I wanted to do for this video and it was such a rewarding experience working alongside Mike Harris and having him help take my ideas and make them a reality, far surpassing what I had expected. I am so grateful for his brilliance and professionalism as a director and could not be happier with how the video turned out. I was inspired by witchcraft and felt that it perfectly fit with the theme of the song, which is about teaching someone a lesson. I’m so happy Offset was involved in this project and was able to bring such an incredible energy to the video.” Beer is a strong-willed female with an amazing voice and that’s the short of it!
