Vetle Forsell is a singer/songwriter from Norway. Forsell started playing the piano on an old family piano that was in his home. He soon picked up guitar and began writing his own music. Forsell then discovered he could sing and that opened up a new horizon of musical influences. Artists like: The Beatles, Pink Floyd and Sufjan Stevens became inspiration for Forsell as his music started to have a rock and indie folk sound, blended with elements of pop and classical. Forsell explains, “I have always been a quiet, introspective kind of person, and during my years in school I gradually started feeling more and more different from people around me. Music provided a safe retreat from that otherness. In my early teens, I discovered I wasn’t straight as an arrow, which further complicated things for me. I started developing social anxiety, which reached its peak with the aforementioned psychiatric episode in Australia. After that, my life has been a long struggle to find my place in the world, which I now know is playing music and writing songs.”
Pictures in Frames is a debut full length album which will be released worldwide on May 24, 2019. The music explores subjects of otherness, mental illness and gender confusion, always with a personal and ultimately optimistic touch. Forsell is now releasing the first single from the up-coming album titled, “In Waiting.” The single invites the listener into a total breakdown, in a setting of acoustic instruments and a relaxed vibe that surrounds Forselll soft warm voice. That’s the short of it!

Solid song writing. Forsell’s melodies are interesting and the lyrics are personal.
