8 Graves is a New York City duet the brings elements of pop, hip-hop and electronica together to form a sound that is distinctively their own. The duet is Brent Carpentier and Nick Goncalves. The duet’s new single, “Bury Me Low,” touches on the topics of coping with mental illness and depression. 8 Graves is building their repertoire of ‘future grunge,’ do not miss out on the experience. Bottom Line

8 Graves has a solid vibe with their second single release, “Bury Me Low.” It is a sound that is clear and identifiable allowing the listener to quickly distinguish their uncommon signature. Described as ‘Future Grunge,’ the duet is keeping the soul real, but tweaking the bass and creating a strong melody with a pop influence. The melody floats over a full synth bass as the build is developed to the chorus. The chorus is full and notable and has a nice rhythmic figure as the hook. The bridge offers a feel change that builds back to the chorus. The singing has pop influences, but the sounds will make both dance floor junkies happy and electronic gurus satisfied.
