SHTUBY is a musical experience that blends both visual and auditory stimulus to create something magical and that is why they are known as the SHTUBY Band Experience. SHTUBY is an artist, a multi-instrumentalist and a master of electronic music. SHTUBY, dressed in a red morphsuit, directs the band and performs on Theremin, Synth, bouzouki, Eiwi and a variety of computers and tools installed in a unique control station to create a new sound perspective that is exciting and unpredictable. Coupled with the Band Experience, they make every show and performance new and unique. The band is Jonathan Alter (drums), Martha Mc’cave Dayan (flute), Ziv Harpaz (bass), and Omer Dayan (vocals/voice). The electronic instruments, sounds and performances are seamlessly integrated with the live instruments such as: Theremin, bass, drums and percussion, flute, wind instruments, a poetry vocalist and many more surprises. The music has a wide range of influences from around the world: funk, jazz, Israeli music, Oriental music, Mediterranean and dance music is all set to a groove mixed with Electronic music beats and sounds, all wonderfully performed by the SHTUBY Band Experience. They have a new album out titled, The Red Circus. Containing eleven tunes that feature their unique and innovative sound of electronic world music, with special guest musicians rounding out the group.
