WRENN, Psychosexual Review

WRENN is a L.A. band that is grabbing attention with their raw talent, sass and attitude packed into a small framed female front singer that pores out Pop-punk sounds with influences from alt nineties rock. The band is comprised of Zoe Mirkovich, Sean Behr, Leo Bomeny, and Lucas Bomeny. WRENN is releasing their first single in two years, titled “Psychosexual.” WRENN’s mantra, “angry in the best way,” brings the vocalist’s solid songwriting skills into focus with inspired lyrics. WRENN is coming to us with a fresh sound to alternative rock/grunge. They play loud music and want everyone to get angry in a healthy way.
Positives: Edgy alt-rock with a strong female fronted band.Bottom Line: WRENN has a solid track in “Psychosexual.” Fuzzy guitars float over a full thumping and warmly distorted bass line as Mirkovich’s sweet vocals drive the lyrics home. The lyrics deal with emotions about social media and influencers. The band sound is balanced and matches the attitude of the lyrics. The tune lands between pop and grunge sounds. That sound makes WRENN a band that has a wide appeal, one that will certainly reach outside the Alternative Rock genre and pull in listeners with an ear for details. That’s the short of it!
