Unfound Reliance is a Swedish metal band that bring the words heavy and melodic together in a way that is distinguished and full of grit and energy. The band draws inspiration from the Gothenburg sound pioneers, but make no mistake Unfound Reliance has a sound all of their own. With lyrics that are built on unity for survival, that same sentiment is given precedence in the music too. The band is not afraid to have melodic influences from the great metal bands of the 70’s and 80’s brought to a carefully balanced sound of today’s Alternative Metal and Metalcore. Unfound Reliance is now releasing “Cowards and Heroes,” the band’s first single with Gothenburg-based Rexius Records. The track serves as an appetizer to an EP they describe as, “The combination of hating life but being happy to have it,” to be released at a later date. Outstanding Metal that has grit, big thick guitar sounds with solid soloing and vocal that match and have attitude. Unfound Reliance delivers! That’s the short of it!

We want heavy, and we want guitar solos and we want vocals that have a brutality and we want it all wrapped up with melodic force. Unfound Reliance has all of that.
Unfound Reliance is a five-piece band that has elements of metalcore with an emphasis on melodic riffs, full guttural vocals and lots of attitude. Leading the waves of sound is front man Andrew Johansson, his ability to sing with power and clarity, while still conveying a growl of dejection is excellent. The band is rock solid, and the guitar playing is sophisticated, melodic and energetic. The double guitar lines build power in the song and the double bass drums hook-up with the driving bass line to give the tune power. Unfound Reliance again proves that the Swedes know their metal, both musically and of ore.
