Light The Torch is a new hard hitting band that is comprised of Howard Jones (vocals), Francesco Artusato (guitars) Ryan Wombacher (bass) and Mike Sciulara (drums). Some of you might recognize these names and associate them with the band Devil You Know, and I would say, keen eye – because that is exactly right, they now have a new name and sound to match. In late July 2017 the band issued an official statement that they had changed their name for legal reasons, but what makes this even better news is, the band used this as an opportunity to reinvent themselves and the result is a powerful album title, Revival. The twelve tracks make up a hard-hitting album that keeps things heavy while still being melodic and musical. The songwriting has been kicked up several notches and of course, front-man Jones belts out the melodies with authority and energy as the band drives their metal rite to your ears, and we wouldn’t want it any other way! That’s the short of it!

Strong melodies, great songwriting, deep lyrics and intense guitar work. Nice big heavy sound with a great groove. This is metal that is actually radio friendly, and that is meant as a compliment.
Light The Torch is proving, the reinvention is working, strong melodies and just a hint of “commercialism” can do wonders for a heavy metal band. These songs do not compromise, they hit hard and have all the elements of great metal, but leave a little space to allow the listener more time to breath and soak it all in. Collectively the band members have been a part of some of the best metalcore bands, so it is not surprising that this release is one SOLID piece of Metal!
