Gold Complex is an eight-piece band from Toronto, Canada that brings a fresh approach to fusing pop, R&B and classic soul. With buzzing horn hits, organ pads, full vocal harmonies, swanky guitar and a front man bursting with persona. The band is releasing their latest single “Fight About Nothing.” Gold Complex’s sound has developed over time and is grounded in their love for energetic live performance. Gold Complex has been featured in film and television. The band is currently in the studio recording their debut full-length album New Soul. With their catchy melodies and well executed singing and playing, “Fight About Nothing” is certainly going to continue to build fans. That’s the short of it!

Bottom Line

Gold Complex is building on the rich traditions of R&B, updating the classic soul sound with cleverly created songwriting on “Fight About Nothing.” The melody is catchy, but the addition of rich vocal harmonies that subtly fill out the track and you have something certainly quite special. The band is rock solid through a song form that has twists and turns, but never leaves you hangin’. Gold Complex has a uniquely diving sound that resonates long past the listen. With the impending new album New Soul certain “Fight About Nothing,” is a strong indicator to the Epic new album to come.
