Coming from Savona, Italy, there is a four-piece rock band that is mixing ’70s heavy fuzz and ’90s riffage to concoct a sonic potion that’s both powerful and refreshingly current. The band is Black Elephant and their latest full-length album, Cosmic Blues is a marvelous set of seven tracks of psychedelic fuzz rock. The band is Caravelli Alessio (vocals and guitar), Giacosa Massimiliano (guitar), De Stefanis Marcello, (bass) and Brunzu Simone (drums). Cosmic Blues was recorded and mixed by Giulio Farinelli, mastered by Maurizio Giannotti, and comes wrapped in the cover design of Robin Gnista. This is a first-rate album with great solos, a consistent flow throughout the entire album and psychedelic rock that gets you in the right frame of mind from the first fuzzy note.
