Kelly & Gibson, Why Do We Love Like This Review

Kelly & Gibson are a vocal duet based in Vancouver. The two met in Montreal, at a merchandise table while fronting their own bands. They began collaborating by making duo versions of popular songs on YouTube. The sound Kelly & Gibson create has a special buzz to it and YouTube viewers noticed it too, acquiring over a half a million views on their YouTube videos. That landed them a spot on MTV, which led to them realizing the potential in writing their own original music.  The duo self-released their debut EP, Out of the Dark. Songs from that EP went on to be finalists in multiple international songwriting competitions. Most notably coming 4th in Linkin Parks Open Labs Stagelight Competition, the duo also won do250 Cumberland Wild festival competition, scoring them a spot at the festival. Next, Kelly & Gibson spent the summer touring as a 5-piece band, sharing the stage with notable acts such as Shari Ulrich and Elliot Brood. The duo received funding from Creative BC’s Amplify program to record an EP, live video and music video. Now Kelly & Gibson are releasing a new single titled, “Why Do We Love Like This.”
