Jade LeMac, Meet You In Hell Review
Jade LeMac is a singer-songwriter-multi-instrumentalist hailing from Vancouver. The Arista Records artist has a solid social following and support from the 2SLBGTQ+ community. LeMac will release her next EP, Constellations, in February of 2023, and she is now releasing the first single from the project, “Meet You In Hell.”
“Meet You In Hell” presents a pop/electro-pop vibe. LeMac is a solid vocalist with a welcoming timbre and vocal chops. The song form is well-constructed and flows with multiple sections. Her lyrics are filled with meaning, push the storyline forward, and have various layers of meaning.
LeMac has two versions of “Meet You In Hell,” the first is heavily produced and filled with staple sounds from electro-pop. However, the second version, Meet You in Hell (Live Sessions),” is a stripped-down version that gives you a chance to hear this young vocalist’s tone and emotion as she sings the melody with style. The acoustic guitar is a fine accompaniment for LeMac. Her register changes are executed confidently, and unlike the electro-pop version, her tone rings supreme.
LeMac brings us two versions of her single “Meet You In Hell.” For us, the acoustic version is more powerful and showcases LeMac’s beautiful tone and songwriting skills. Looking forward to hearing Constellations, but until then, “Meet You in Hell.” That’s the short of it!
