Alice Jemima is a songwriter/producer from Devon, UK. that is signed to Sunday Best Recordings. She released her debut self-titled album in 2017. The album struck a chord with fans and critics, with wide acclaim and has achieved over 25-million album streams. Several of the tracks from the album were used in adverts for Ralph Lauren, Simple Skincare, Macy’s and Topshop. The singing is well-executed and Jemima’s voice with grab your attention and hold it. The electro-pop style is very organic, which is a big breath of fresh air. We still have the dance-influenced beats and full-bodied synths, without all the repetitive and over-used clichés. The music has energy, but the edges are kept softer and more reserved, and it does a brilliant job of capturing a private, intimate vibe. The breathy glissandos in the verses are perfectly answered with rhythmic figures that repeat in the chorus. Clean dreamy guitars add punctuation in the breakdown and instrumental section. Jemima talks about “Our Love,” “A song that tries to capture in words that feeling that you have when you fall in love and the world becomes an almost indescribable kaleidoscope of emotion that feels like a sugar-rush with everything traveling at speed, touch creating a feeling of being high, but crucially a feeling of uniqueness between two people – that no one else can know what it feels like to have ‘Our Love’.” A solid song with emotion, a hypnotic beat and beautiful vocals.
