Colter Wall
Songs of the Plains
Vocalist Colter Wall is blessed with a rich baritone voice that has all the qualities of Americana and Country rolled up into one robust sound. Wall spent two years of relentless touring, and for his second album, he wanted to make it about home. Wall was inspired by the stories of Saskatchewan, Canada, the young songwriter’s hometown. The album is titled, Songs of the Plains, produced by Dave Cobb in Nashville’s Studio A. The project combines striking original folk songs, well-chosen outside cuts, and a couple of traditional songs that reflect Wall’s roots growing up in the small city of Swift Current. The music surrounding Wall’s voice is all acoustic and kept to a minimum, the focus is on Wall’s outstanding vocals and the emotions they convey. That’s the short of it!

Wall is a blend of old-school with the storylines and passion of a youthful man. His voice is breathtaking to listen to and the instrumentation on Songs of the Plains is perfectly matched to Wall’s musical approach of simplicity, but real!
