Carrie Cunningham, Click (feat. Clayton Jones) Review

Carrie Cunningham is a New Country singer and songwriter with a genuine, sultry, and enchanting voice. She has sung for ESPN2, Showtime Boxing, MLS, PRCA, The Spokane Symphony, KXLY, and major music festivals. Cunningham is the only independent artist to be signed back-to-back at the NW’s Largest Country Music Festival, Watershed. Cunningham’s rich tones have also been written about in newspapers and magazines, such as Northwest Woman’s Magazine. Her engaging stage presence that builds rapport with the audience has allowed her to open for many numerous acts, including Kelsea Ballerini, James Otto, Diamond Rio, Restless Heart, Crystal Gayle, Kacey Musgraves, Collective Soul, Bryan White, Sugarland, Jake Owen, Chick Corea, and many others. Her passion for people extends past her love of performing. Although she has helped many people with her storytelling through music, Cunningham also has many philanthropic projects. She has worked with Big Brothers, Big Sisters, Vanished Children’s Alliance, CASA, The Special Olympics, Hope International, and Read Across America. To take her generous nature further, she is a 3rd Generation auctioneer, focusing on combining customized music with benefit auctions. Cunningham is also a motivational keynote concert speaker, focusing on character development. Cunningham is now releasing her single titled “Click (feat. Clayton Jones).”

Bottom Line: “Click (feat. Clayton Jones)” has a strong back-beat with rich country-pop/rock guitars filling out the space. Cunningham is joined by vocalist Clayton Jones. They blend beautifully to create a solid male/female sound. Jones is the featured voice on over 9 million Spotify streams and the 2019 St. Louis Sound Competition’s recent winner. Clayton draws from Pop, Rock, and R&B and is most recognized for his timeless vocal tone, relatable songwriting, and authentic stage presence. Cunningham’s vocals are powerful and sensual as she sings the well-written lyrics. A catchy guitar solo takes us to the breakdown, which is followed by the out chorus. Both singers have a passion and deliver this fun melody that will stick in the brain for days. Cunningham co-wrote the song with Diann Hammer. Culminating in her first full-length album since 2007, she will be dropping a new single on the 11th of every month during 2021. “Click (feat. Clayton Jones)” is a solid country-pop tune from a hard-working lady with many talents. You certainly want to keep up on her singles this year, and that’s the short of it!
