Maleen is a Danish singer and songwriter that pulls the best elements from classical, rock and pop to create a musical sound that is fresh and stimulating. Maleen finds her greatest inspiration in nature, more specifically, the rawness, beauty and contrasts that it has to offer. She was trained as a classical singer (lyric soprano) and has been singing from the repertoire of Classical’s great composers for many years. Maleen also is comfortable with creating music in the moments, as she also comfortable doing vocal improvisation. Maleen is now releasing her single, “Someone Like You.” The composition is a love song with a Nordic tone. The great Danish composer Frederik Magle arranged Maleen’s music for: voice, cello, guitar and keyboard/synthesizer. Some of the best Scandinavian musicians play the instruments. The result is an innovative and cinematic piece of music that has video that is just as creative. That’s the short of it!
