Irina Muresanu is a Romanian violinist that has a passion that transfers through her violin with elegance and energetic passion. Her unique performances of the classic, romantic and modern repertoire has earned her the respect of audiences and critics alike across the globe. In 2013, Muresanu introduced her “Four Strings Around the World” project, a solo violin recital featuring works of composers inspired by various musical cultures from around the world. Muresanu is now releasing her album titled, Four Strings Around the World. A collection of sixteen pieces that offer a glimpse into the variations violin techniques and stylistic approaches from many cultures, all conveyed with clarity and heart through Muresanu’s impressive virtuosic playing. Muresanu currently serves on the faculty the University of Maryland and has taught at Boston Conservatory and in the Harvard and MIT Music Departments. Four Strings Around the World is a magical journey that celebrates diverse cultural characteristic sounds and colors as they relate to solo violin, all performed by an articulate musician.
